My artistic name is Morelli Tony. Since my teenage years, I have nurtured a passion for painting, primarily oil on canvas and watercolor. I am fascinated by the great beauty and vastness of nature, which I strive to convey in my paintings. I have participated in numerous solo and collective exhibitions. Among the most recent, in November 2021, I exhibited ten works in a solo show curated by ART GLOBAL at the La Pigna gallery in Rome, with the participation and critical note by Prof. Vittorio Sgarbi. In March 2022, I took part in the collective exhibition “Intrecci d’Arte” at the Embassy of Bahrain, curated by ART GLOBAL. Some of my works are featured in the volume Protagonisti del Tempo d’Arte, first, second, and third editions, curated by ART GLOBAL. The last two editions were presented respectively at the Senate of the Republic, in the Caduti di Nassirya Hall, and at the Chamber of Deputies, in the Tatarella Hall. In October 2024, I participated with two selected works in the event “Le Stelle dell’Arte”, the Biennial Art and Culture Award Matera ART Festival ’24, curated by the International Academy of Dioscuri. In December 2024, I participated with three selected works in the Vasari Award 2024 at the ARTinGENIO MUSEUM in Pisa. I am also present with two works in the Modern Art Catalogue number 60, published by Editoriale Giorgio Mondadori. Morelli Tony’s works stand out for their profound ability to explore and represent the relationship between humans and the natural world, reflecting a historical and universal inclination toward what lies beyond the individual. Through images of herds of horses, flocks of birds in flight, leaves, flowers, and lakeside or mountainous landscapes, the artist does not simply capture the beauty of nature, but transcends it, elevating it to a more intimate and universal dimension. His works are characterized by a chromatic and compositional balance that suggests great delicacy in treating each subject. The colors and shapes, while maintaining careful realism, also serve as vehicles for emotions that emerge through the artist’s memory and personal experience. In this way, nature is not only faithfully reproduced but revealed as an entity that exists beyond the physical plane, reaching a state of pure dreamlike abstraction. The filter of memory and intimacy present in each painting gives every composition a unique character, where the natural element becomes a symbol of an inner search, with the human and natural worlds merging in a symbiosis of emotions and visions. In this sense, Morelli’s art presents itself as a sensory and emotional journey that goes beyond the surface of things, creating a direct and personal connection between the observer and the represented natural universe. With technical mastery that blends realism and dream, the artist invites us to explore the infinite dimensions of nature and the human soul.
