He was born in Caltagirone on 17/09/1986, grandson of the namesake Calatino photographer of the award-winning studio “Alì”. He developed a passion for art and drawing from a young age, pursuing technical studies in surveying and graduating from “F. Cucuzza” in Caltagirone. He later obtained his qualification at “G.B. Vaccarini” in Catania. Despite his technical background, he continued painting and in 2006 was appointed as an Academician at the “Antonio Canova” Academy in Palinuro (SA). He initially enrolled in computer science and attended only the first year before pursuing academic studies in “New Languages of Painting” at Catania. At the same time, he co-founded a telecommunications company, “Wiremax.” He completed his studies in the academic year 2013/2014, graduating with top marks and was selected as one of the academic excellences of Catania with a multimedia installation for the national “Abbado 2015” award. Throughout his career, he has created logos, posters, and cartoons, including a sarcastic one for the newspaper l’Obiettivo. He had his first solo exhibition at the “Chiesetta di Sant’Anna” curated by Padre Francesco Attaguile in 2006. He later exhibited in various group and solo exhibitions in Caltagirone, Butera, Mirabella, Padua, and Verona. He also participated in the “Biennale della Ceramica” at the Museum of Ceramics and Villa Patti on 05/09/2015. Passionate about photography, computer science, and music, he is committed to continuous artistic and stylistic research, working with both software and traditional brushes. He prefers oil painting for his works, with a surrealistic-figurative style and a dominant dichotomous theme. Currently, he can be found at Via Gabelle, 17, Caltagirone, at the “Patti N’ Arts” store, where he offers consultations and creates graphic and artistic works. Francesco Patti expresses his art through a journey rooted in personal and professional experiences, creating works that offer a unique perspective of the world. His research moves between the real and the imagined, between dreams and reality, where the subconscious becomes fertile ground to explore metaphysical and surreal dimensions. Each creation invites the viewer to immerse themselves in a universe of overlaps and references, where the visible transforms into something deeper and more mysterious. The artist, from a family connected to art, with a solid technical background and a career spanning from computer science to telecommunications, has been able to combine these experiences with his passion for fine arts. This cultural baggage allows him to express a free and personal art that communicates universal values through compositions rich in symbolism and emotion. His works are the result of a constant inner search, in which the viewer is invited to reflect on universal themes, but also on the collective unconscious. His figurative style, full of ethical and symbolic allusions, with tones of psychological surrealism, invites contemplation of a more complex reality, made of subtle sensations and connections. Each composition is an emotional journey that challenges the boundaries between good and evil, creating a visual narrative that mixes human figures, animals, and symbols in an ongoing dialogue. Francesco Patti, with his experience in the advertising and graphic fields, knows how to capture attention with images that evoke wonder and reflection, taking the viewer into a world of possible enchantments. He does not seek shortcuts to convey his message but prefers a direct and vibrant language that emanates a vital and mythical energy. His works, rich in emotions, invite the viewer to explore an inner, mysterious, and spiritual reality, where the line between the possible and impossible becomes increasingly blurred. With a precise and captivating technique, which favors tone and mark, Patti brings extraordinary compositions to life, where the play of colors and figurative rendering combine to create powerful and suggestive visions. Each canvas is a new reality, a world suspended between dream and reality, offering moments of reflection on the human condition and its inner tensions. Patti’s works are, ultimately, a window into a parallel world, where mythical and fantastic figures intertwine with reality, telling stories of life, unfulfilled desires, and existential challenges. Each work, whether more unsettling or serene, conveys a deep message, an invitation to explore and understand the mystery of existence. Francesco Patti is an artist who, with mastery, transforms the canvas into an emotional and visual stage, bringing his visions to life in a communicative and engaging art. His ability to give body and soul to his visions is indisputable, and each of his works is a further confirmation of his artistic excellence, a journey through beauty, transfiguration, and dream.
