Alessia Ranghetti

She lives in Morazzone, a small town set among the hills of the province of Varese. Her daily contact with greenery and lush nature sustains her creative moments, accompanying her step by step and instilling that deep sense of serenity and peace that only nature can offer to those who approach it with attentive and watchful eyes. She graduated from the A. Frattini Art High School in Varese. As a young student, she initially preferred pastel techniques before exploring painting in all its forms. She skillfully masters multiple pictorial techniques. Her artistic curiosity led her to attend courses in ceramics, glass painting, and textile painting, and she has also created sketches for artistic stained-glass windows. Among her favorite artists are the great masters Vincent van Gogh and Gustav Klimt. She admires Van Gogh for his instinctive and raw brushstrokes and for his restless pursuit of perfect light. She appreciates Klimt for his refined eroticism and for the golden decorations that illuminate many of his works. In the same way, Alessia draws inspiration from the surrounding nature and from the light that floods her environment. From this inspiration emerge her finely crafted female faces, almost capable of speaking and conveying emotion. The calm or turmoil of her inner world is reflected in the eyes of the faces she paints, where the viewer may lose themselves and at times rediscover something of their own essence in a glimmer or shimmer.
