Oreste Albertini (born March 28, 1887, in Certosa di Pavia – died July 7, 1953, in Besano) was an Italian painter. He began his artistic training at the age of 13 as an apprentice fresco painter with Cesare Maroni, and later attended the Civic School of Painting in Pavia. In 1910, he continued his studies at the Decorative Arts School of the Umanitaria in Milan and also took courses at the Brera Academy. Initially, Albertini practiced painting as an amateur and did not pursue it professionally. However, in 1921, he moved to Besano, where he spent the rest of his life. He also set up a studio in Milan and participated in several exhibitions at the Permanente Gallery over the years. Albertini’s early works included experiments with Divisionism, but he later focused on landscapes, particularly those of the Dolomites and the countryside of Varese, with a special emphasis on the areas of Besano and Viconago. His works are held in various collections, including the Civic Museums of Pavia and the Gallery of Modern Art in Milan, where his painting *Covoni a Moena* is housed.
